Reports in Italy from newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport have stated that Clarence Seedorf will name former Milan team mates, Hernan Crespo and Jaap Stam as his assistants when he is unveiled as the new Rossoneri coach.
Following the weekends defeat to Sassuolo, Milan wasted no time in dismissing Manager, Massimiliano Allegri. Another former player, Filipo Anzaghi had been strongly linked with the role but it now appears that Silvio Berlusconi has been a major factor in the decision to turn to Dutch legend, Seedorf.
Despite being in Brazil with Botafogo it is understood that Seedorf has a clause in his contract for just this situation. As a result, Seedorf has flown straight to Milan to open discussions over the vacant manager position.
Once Seedorf is installed as Manager it is reported that he will turn to his AC Milan teammates for assistance. Former Argentina International, Hernan Crespo will take up his first coaching role and will be joined by fellow Dutchman, Jaap Stam.
The trio were formidable on the pitch and Milan will be hoping that they bring their success to the world of coaching.
