Argentina’s squad players gave a useful reminder that there is more to the side than just Captain, Lionel Messi. Minus Messi and Sergio Aguero, Alejandro Sabella was forced to shuffle his pack and formation slightly but Argentina were still able to look potent in attack. Gonzalo Higuain continued his hot streak for La Seleccion by thumping in the opener after being slipped in by Erik Lamela and Valencia midfielder, Ever Banega rifled in the second following a devastating counter attack early in the second half. Italy did manage a consolation when Napoli youngster, Lorenzo Insigne wonderfully curled the ball home from 25 yards but Argentina held on for another win. WATCH THE GOALS HERE….
