The weekend defeat and subsequent departure of manager, Luis Zubeldia was confounded last night as Racing limped out of the Copa Sudamericana following a 2-0 defeat to Lanus. Two goals from defender, Carlos Izquierdoz gave Lanus the victory which was made worse for Racing by the petulant sendings off of Ricardo Centurion and Bruno Zuculini. A new manager and a fresh start are needed to breathe life back into Racing.
