A huge day of Primera action had a number of talking points but despite interesting results around Buenos Aires, it seems correct to start in La Plata and the Clásico Platense. Franco Jara’s early goal and the now customary clean sheet was enough for Estudiantes to claim the local bragging rights over Gimnasia and join Colón at the top of the table in a typically fiery encounter, which sadly spilled over into the stands at full time. Later, Boca Juniors appeared to be heading for another narrow win in La Bombonera, only for Leonardo Pisculichi to score a late equaliser for Argentinos Juniors with their first shot on target. River Plate made the short journey to Floresta to face All Boys and despite taking an early lead, the sending off of Leonel Vangioni clearly affected them and All Boys raced back to claim a crucial 3-2 win. Newell’s Old Boys cranked up the pressure on Racing coach, Mostaza Merlo with a 2-0 in Rosario. Goals from sixteen-year-old, Ezequiel Ponce and thirty six-year-old, David Trezeguet condemned Racing to a sixth straight loss. Lastly, in Sarandí, Arsenal drew 1-1 with Rosario Central to continue their awful start to the Torneo Final. WATCH ALL THE GOALS….
