On a day when the Superclásico rolls into town it is easy to forget that there are other matches taking place in Buenos Aires. Before all the drama at La Bombonera, Lanús moved up to within two points of the top with a 2-1 win over Rosario Central. Very wet conditions made possession difficult but Victor Ayala broke the deadlock when his whipped in delivery eluded everyone and beat Mauricio Caranta. Federico Carrizo fired in a fine equaliser but Carlos Izquierdoz’s firm header settled matters. Bottom of the table, Arsenal then hosted table topping, Colón and Milton Caraglio’s smartly taken goal ensured the surprise leaders didn’t stretch their lead. In the late kickoff, a game destined to end goalless, shockingly ended in a 2-2 draw. The Primera’s dullest side, Tigre rallied from Angel Correa’s early opener for San Lorenzo to lead into stoppage time. A superb curling effort from Matías Pérez García and a close range Ariel Nahuelpán goal looked to have given Tigre the win but Emanuel Más headed home an injury time equaliser for El Ciclon.
