Lanús have made a very good fist of balancing their Copa Libertadores and Torneo Final commitments but the goalless draw against Tigre last night may prove costly in their efforts to win domestic honours. A uncharacteristically flat performance from Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s side could have been punished by a more attacking side than Tigre, but instead the point leaves them 4 points off leaders, Gimnasia. Lanús host Gimnasia on Sunday before their Libertadores Quarter Final with Bolivar in what is a massive week.
