Correa all set for Atlético Madrid transfer

San Lorenzo youngster, Angel Correa will most likely say his goodbyes to the Nuevo Gasómetro this week after it was revealed that President, Matías Lammens has agreed a deal with Champions League finalists, Atlético Madrid and has travelled to Spain to complete this. A fee of €9 million has been touted for 60% ownership but San Lorenzo are eager to keep hold of Correa until after the Copa Libertadores which is due to finish in August.

With San Lorenzo due to play Bolivar in the Libertadores Semi Final on July 23rd and 30th and a possible final on August 6th and 13th, any transfer will take place after that. Lammens is also keen to receive 10% of an future transfer fee.

Clarin quoted a source in Spain as saying “This week the official announcement would be made.”

The leading assist creator is the Torneo Final, Correa appeared a little more developed from his role in San Lorenzo’s Torneo Inicial triumph and Madrid look to be getting a player of huge potential.
