San Lorenzo were seconds away from being the first side to defeat Nacional in Paraguay in this year’s Copa Libertadores but more importantly from taking a valuable one-goal lead back to Bajo Flores in a week. However, Julio Santa Cruz struck deep into injury time to give Nacional a life-line having been second best for most of the game. Mauro Matos’ excellent second half volley looked to have given El Ciclón a deserved victory but the Final now hangs in the balance ahead of the second leg.
