As expected Arsenal de Sarandí were the only Primera club to honour the death of AFA President Julio Grondona prior to kickoff but their comeback against a talented, young Estudiantes side was a little surprising. Guido Carrillo stabbed Estudiantes in front after 36 minutes following some woeful defending from the home side and the 23-year-old striker will be hoping to add to his burgeoning goal tally. However, a minute later, Estudiantes gifted Arsenal an equaliser with similarly lapse defending and Emilio Zelaya poked in. The second half was poor but with 5 minutes remaining, Ramiro Carrera sent a looping header into the far corner and gave Arsenal all 3 points. Later, in Victoria, Veléz Sarsfield snatched a late win over Tigre despite being down to 10 men after Jorge Correa was sent off. New signing, Milton Caraglio’s 88th minute lob was enough to win what was a rather dull affair.
