San Lorenzo did not have to wait long to face Defensa y Justicia for only the second time in the clubs histories after last week’s Copa Argentina defeat. On this occasion in the Primera, El Ciclón were able to exact revenge for that loss and won 3-1 in Florencio Verela. Despite going behind to Julio Rodriguez’s early goal, San Lorenzo came back with goals from Mauro Cetto, Mauro Matos and Enzo Kalinski to claim back-to-back Primera wins. Later in Avellaneda, Racing Club ended a run of defeats to claim a draw against still unbeaten Newell’s Old Boys. Nacho Scocco blasted Newell’s in front but Gustavo Bou’s powerful turn and shot brought La Academia level.
