Amid the celebrations of Rosario Central’s victory in the Clásico Rosarino it has been reported that two fans have been killed in violent clashes on the streets. The first, Martín Acosta, 39, was shot while celebrating the victory outside his home by a neighbour, who is now believed to be on the run and the second was Lautaro Boca, 22, who was stabbed in the chest while walking from the ground. Witnesses report this was committed by a group of young men in the colours of Newell’s and a 35-year-old man was arrested with the murder weapon. There were also 8 other serious injuries to people in separate incidents as once again, Argentine football makes all the wrong headlines.
