While River Plate’s first team may have been licking their wounds after their first loss in 31 matches, their youth side defeated rivals, Boca Juniors in the superclásico de la Reserva. Emmanuel Martínez scored the only goal of the game in the second half to settle the most fiercely fought of reserve fixtures.
River Plate’s youth side are looking equally impressive as the first team as they both sit atop of their respective leagues.
The stars of tomorrow played out an even match which River edged courtesy of Martínez’s well taken goal after cutting inside on to his left foot.
