Banfield came from behind to see off Quilmes in the Estadio Florencio Sola and leave their visitors stuck at the bottom of the Torneo Transición table with just two wins this campaign. It was an excellent start for Quilmes when Adrián Scifo headed them in front after just five minutes but Ricardo Noir’s towering header equalised ten minutes before the break. Matías Almeyda’s side were putting on the pressure and eventually they got their break when they were awarded a penalty after Nicolás Bertolo was tripped in the box. Goalkeeper, Gaspar Servio took responsibility and sent Walter Benitez the wrong way to give Banfield the lead. With time running out, Jonathan Requena added a third to and make victory certain.
