San Lorenzo set to take West Brom’s Blanco on loan

Sebastian-Blanco

San Lorenzo might have been slow in the market but they are beginning to make some moves and now after the recent acquisitions of Alejandro Melo, Franco Mussis and Matías Caruzzo they could be about to seal a six-month loan deal for Sebastián Blanco. The 26-year-old attacker has endured a frustrating welcome to English football with chances at West Brom limited. However, those who remember Blanco at Lanús will be aware that El Ciclón could be on the verge of a very useful addition.

Blanco only arrived at The Hawthorns in August from Ukrainian side, Metalist Kharkiv but his first team experience in England amounts to a total of just 36 minutes. San Lorenzo have been keen to capture the skillful attacking midfielder and they are reportedly close to agreeing a six-month-loan deal with the option to buy.

The full details of the move have not been announced but it could be finalised shortly. San Lorenzo have been looking to bolster their attack since losing Angel Correa and Ignacio Piatti and the hope would be that Blanco would bring the pace, invention and some goals to the Nuevo Gasómetro.
