It was not the most enthralling match of the tournament but Humberto Grondona will be pleased that his Argentina under-20 side scrapped to what could be a useful point against Colombia in the final group stage. Both sides had missed chances in a lacklustre first half but the deadlock was broken shortly after the break when Colombia were awarded a somewhat soft penalty, converted by Jarlan Barrera. Los Cafeteros had chances to extend their lead but as the half went on, Argentina exerted more and more pressure in search of an equaliser. Alvaro Montero had denied Los Pibes on a number of occasions but in the 88th minute a cross from Cristian Espinoza was poked in by Vélez youngster, Lucio Compagnucci to spark wild celebrations. On Sunday, Argentina face Brazil, who had earlier defeated Paraguay, and a better performance will be needed.
