San Lorenzo bounced back from their defeat to San Martín with an excellent victory over the previously unbeaten, Estudiantes in La Plata. Sebastián Blanco opened the scoring early with his first goal since his loan move from West Brom and midway through the second half Pablo Barrientos sensationally added a second. The 30-year-old spotted Agustín Silva fractionally out of goal and unleashed an inch-perfect shot from close to halfway. The result leaves both sides on nine points, behind Boca (ten) and league leaders, Rosario Central.

Earlier, Tigre came from behind to earn a point away to Temperley. Fernando Brandan had given Temperley the lead minutes after the break with a powerful long range effort but they were unable to hold onto the lead. Fifteen minutes from time, Marcelo Larrondo did well to control a long ball on his chest before poking it past Federico Crivelli for a share of the points.

Temperley  1 – 1  Tigre

Estudiantes  0 – 2  San Lorenzo

And again….
