Santiago Tréllez scored the decisive goal in the second half but Mauricio Pellegrino’s side can have few complaints. The result leaves Estudiantes in third spot on four points, one behind Atlético Nacional and three behind Libertad. With the return fixture against Libertad up next, Estudiantes can now not afford another defeat with the group stages entering the decisive period.
