Argentina under-17s completed their recovery from their poor start to the South American championships with a 1-0 victory over Chile to ensure progression to the final stage. Once again, San Lorenzo youngster Tomás Conechny provided the goal and now Argentina will face Brazil in the first of their final matches. The 16-year-old striker powerfully headed in Pablo Ruíz’s corner during the first half to inflict a fourth straight defeat on Chile. Argentina took third spot in group B and progress to the final behind Uruguay and Ecuador where they will meet Paraguay, Brazil and Colombia.
