Argentina under-17s underwhelming South American championship was given a huge boost this afternoon as they edged Brazil to begin the final group stage with a 1-0 victory. Having just sneaked through to the final after two defeats in the first round, Argentina have slowly built some momentum and thanks to San Lorenzo striker, Germán Berterame’s first half goal Los Pibes are off to a good start. The crucial goal came shortly after the half hour mark and although Brazil dominated the match thereafter they were unable to find an equaliser. Argentina will play hosts Paraguay on Friday in their second match.
