Alejandro Donatti’s stoppage time header sparked wild celebrations inside the Gigante de Arroyito as Rosario Central halted a run of three consecutive draws against bottom half teams to defeat San Martín and return momentarily to the top of the Primera. The increasingly impressive Franco Cervi clipped the home side in front during the first half but an absolutely towering header by Facundo Pumpido pegged them back and it looked as though it would be yet another frustrating result. Manager, Eduardo Coudet lost his cool and was sent from the dug-out and deep into injury time a free-kick was pumped into the penalty area and Donatti rose to head the ball into the corner prompting Coudet to appear on the pitch in a state of uncontrollable joy.
In La Plata Gimnasia stunned Aldosivi with a most uncharacteristic second half goal blitz. José Sand poked Aldosivi in front in the first half but an unfortunate Guillermo Ortíz own goal to equalise sparked the glut. Ignacio Fernández slotted in from close range, Antonio Medina rifled in a third and shortly after added his second of the match to wrap up the victory.
In Mendoza, Godoy Cruz twice came from behind to deny Vélez victory. Mariano Pavone gave Vélez the lead only to see Leandro Fernández equalise just after half time and although Pavone reestablished the lead, La Tomba came back again. With seven minutes remaining, Jaime Ayoví headed in a loose ball to ensure a share of the points.
