Saturday’s three remaining matches were not exactly thrillers but newly promoted Aldosivi were the big winners. Pablo Lugüercio’s low shot just before half time was enough to see off a slightly unfortunate Argentinos Juniors and with the win Aldosivi climbed to eighth in the table. Earlier in Bahía Blanca, Gabi Milito’s Estudiantes struggled on what was a poor pitch to a goalless draw with Olimpo and in La Plata, Newell’s Old Boys were unable to breakdown a resiliant Gimnasia side. Olimpo remain winless while the others sit comfortably in midtable.
