Round Twelve drew to a close last night and while there wasn’t a great deal for the neutral Argentine football fan to get excited about Colón celebrated a first away win of the season on their visit to Defensa y Justicia. An eventful ten minutes just after the half hour mark saw the match swing in favour of the visitors, as first Gonzalo Cabrera put El Halcon in front before they had Juan Tejera sent off and subsequently Lucas Alario headed Colón level. Cristian Llama put the away side in front just after half time and Alario stroked in a third shortly before full time. There was still time for Favio Álvarez to pull a goal back and Carlos Matheu to also be shown a red card but Colón held on for all three points.

Earlier in JunÍn, Gimnasia held on, in the circumstances for a decent point against Sarmiento. El Lobo were reduced to ten men after just 18 minutes when Antonio César Medina was shown two yellow cards in the space of 30 seconds but the home side were unable to make their numerical advantage count. The two sides remain locked together on 14 points in the bottom half of the table.

Sarmiento  0 – 0  Gimnasia

Defensa y Justicia  2 – 3  Colón
