Boca left it late but two goals in the final five minutes managed to see off Federal B side, Huracán Las Heras. Dani Osvaldo headed in Jonathan Calleri’s cross from the right before Andrés Chávez volleyed a second a minute later to ensure victory and set up a last 32 tie with Banfield.
Lanús joined Boca in the next round with a victory over Atlético Tucumán by the same margin. Gustavo Gómez bundled in the opening goal shortly after half time and Víctor Ayala wrapped it up with a superbly struck free-kick.
Earlier in the evening, Crucero del Norte again found things away from Garupá a little hard-going as they were dumped out by Primera B Metropolitana side, Los Andes. Two goals from Fernando Gutiérrez put the lower league side into the next round and Atlético Rafaela squeezed past Flandria after a penalty shootout in Córdoba.
