Sarmiento de Junín deservedly notched a third home victory of the season against Defensa y Justicia in Friday’s only Primera match thanks to Diego Chaves’ brace. A tidy near-post finish from Chaves after 15 minutes gave the home side the lead and in the second half, Defensa y Justicia were undone by the same combination. Sarmiento full-back, Maxi Caire escaped down the right and his cut-back found Chaves in the centre to plant the ball in the back of the net. Eugenio Isnaldo pulled a goal back from close range with minutes remaining but the home side held on for all three points.
