A little under 24 hours after the match should have taken place, Temperley once more welcomed Gimnasia to the Estadio Alfredo Beranger, this time at the earlier time of 5pm, when the floodlights were not yet required. Pedro Troglio’s, Gimnasia had not won in seven but took the lead when Ignacio Fernández headed the ball past Federico Crivelli unmarked and they did not have to wait long to double the advantage after Lucas Licht tucked in a second from the penalty spot. Temperley had proved competitive throughout and immediately responded through a penalty of their own, scored by Javier Grbec but Fernández had the final say when he tapped in from close range with fifteen minutes remaining. It is four straight defeats for the home side but with safety ensured, the season objective has been met while El Lobo will be relieved that they have ended their woeful run of form before the end of the campaign.

Temperley  1 – 3  Gimnasia
