A week off from the Copa Libertadores meant Huracán had to catch up on one of their postponed Primera fixtures on Wednesday night and after what has been a testing start to 2016, Eduardo Domínguez’s side have now chalked up three consecutive wins. Daniel Montenegro curled in an excellent opener after 15 minutes but it was swiftly cancelled out by Jorge Rodríguez, on after an early injury to Lucas Wilchez. The match was decided midway through the second half by another substitute, Mariano González. The veteran forward slotted the ball past Javier García after fine hold up play by Ramón Ábila and it proved to be the winner. Tigre had Kevin Itabel sent off in stoppage time and remain with only a solitary league win this season under Mauro Camaronesi.

Tigre  1 – 2  Huracán
