Rosario Central recovered from the minor blip of a home draw against Banfield and defeat away to Patronato, to deservedly beat Sarmiento in the Gigante de Arroyito and return to the summit of Zona One. A wonderful passing move was deftly finished by Marco Ruben after only 12 minutes but despite dominating the match, Eduardo Coudet’s title favourites were unable to extend their lead. Ricardo Lombardi has perhaps made Sarmiento more difficult to beat but on Monday night they failed to register a single shot on goal and can be grateful that the margin of defeat was only one.Diego Cháves was sent off late on and Lombardi lived up to his fiery reputation after the game with a confrontation with members of the barra at a petrol station.
