Since making his first appearance in a Juventus shirt against West Ham, €90 million signing Gonzalo Higuaín has faced criticism over his fitness but the Bianconeri supporters didn’t appear too upset at the club’s traditional pre-season match between the first team and the reserves at the Villar Perosa training ground.
Around 10,000 supporters watched as Higuaín headed his first goal in black and white and although the 28-year-old may not start against Fiorentina on Sunday, Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping that this is the first of many goals this season.
A dreadful Luca Coccolo own-goal doubled the lead after half time just as Paulo Dybala was about to tap the ball into the net and then in the 57th minute the game was abandoned, as is tradition, with the supporters flooding onto the pitch.
