The Copa Sudamericana tie between Estudiantes and Belgrano still hangs in the balance ahead of the second leg in Córdoba but Nelson Vivas’ side may regret only taking a one goal advantage from the Estadio Único.
Despite a host of opportunities the difference is a Facundo Sánchez goal which came after 15 minutes when Israel Damonte floated an exquisite ball over the top of the Belgrano defence for Sánchez to send a looping header over Juan Carlos Olave.
