Eduardo Coudet’s Rosario Central haven’t made the best of starts to the Primera season despite holding lofty title ambitions but still eventually proved too much for Primera B side Deportivo Morón.

After a nervy opening 45 minutes, the deadlock was broken soon after half time in spectacular fashion. Giovani Lo Celso pinched the ball back and laid the ball into the path of Walter Montoya whose fierce shot had far too much swerve and dip for Morón goalkeeper Nicolás Angellotti.

The lower league side hung in but in stoppage time Teo Gutiérrez found Marco Ruben in the 18-year box and the 29-year-old put the tie out of reach.

Last year’s runners-up, Central will now face either champions Boca Juniors or Lanús in the quarter finals.

Deportivo Morón  0 – 2  Rosario Central
