Federico Andrada’s penalty midway through the first half proved enough to earn Quilmes a hard fought point against Unión in Santa Fe on Monday evening. Leonardo Sánchez’s powerful header had given the home side an early lead but was soon cancelled out when Fernando Rapallini penalised Nahuel Zárate for a handball and provided Andrada with the opportunity from the spot.
Desperate for three points after consecutive defeats, Unión were still unable to find a decisive second despite shading possession and chances.
