Ramón Wanchope Ábila got his Brazilian league campaign up and running on Thursday evening with a brace to give Cruzeiro victory over Chapecoense.

Having already converted a first half penalty, the 27-year-old dashed clear to exquisitely lob the stranded goalkeeper.

Wanchope had been a club icon at Huracán after firing El Globo to the Copa Argentina and the Supercopa in 2014 before his switch to Cruzeiro but is proving equally popular in Brazil with 13 goals in 21 matches for the Celeste.
