Former River Plate youngster Emanuel Mammana found a good moment to score his first goal for Lyon earning Bruno Génésio’s side a draw with Bordeaux on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old rose unmarked at the back post to head the equaliser with ten minutes remaining after Valentín Vada had given Les Girondins an early lead.
There was a hint of offside when Vada ran in behind the Lyon defence to slot the ball past Anthony Lopes but the 20-year-old’s third goal of the season stood and for large periods looked as though it might be enough for three points.

Mammana’s header ensured a share of the spoils and maintained Lyon’s four point lead over fifth-placed Bordeaux but saw the top three pull further away.
