West Ham’s porous defence meant Leicester City were able to claim a first away win of the season but Manuel Lanzini was again one of the few positives for Slaven Bilic’s side, scoring a sublime free kick to reduce the viistors lead.

The Premier League champions had raced into a two-goal lead when Lanzini bent an inch-perfect free kick past Kasper Schmeichel.

Since the sale of Dimitri Payet to Marseille, Lanzini has been pushed to the fore, excelling in the role of creator for the Hammers and his latest effort was straight from the Payet-playbook.

Jamie Vardy restored the visitors lead and despite West Ham dominating the second half they could not find a way past Schmeichel.

West Ham may find themselves fending off bids for Lanzini in the summer should be continue in this form and certainly the 24-year-old should be on the radar of Argentina manager Edgardo Bauza.
