It was far from a classic but the early signs of Paolo Montero’s influence on Rosario Central began to show as El Canalla frustrated Quilmes before stealing all three points in the 89th minute.
In what was a pretty tepid affair, the home side probably enjoyed the better of the chances but just as a dull, goalless draw looked to be the result, second half substitute Washington Camacho rose to head in from a corner.
Montero made something of a habit of these performances during the first half of the season with Colón and although improvements will be needed with Central after a poor run, the result was all that mattered.
