He may have missed out on Edgardo Bauza’s most recent Argentina squad but there has been no dip in Leandro Paredes’ form as the 22-year-old struck his third Serie A goal of the season in Roma’s 3-1 win against Sassuolo.
The 22-year-old has developed into a versatile, deep-lying playmaker in Italy and fired in the opening goal from 25 yards on Sunday afternoon.
With five tackles in the game and one of the leading passes, Paredes has established himself as a key figure in the Roma side and while the scudetto looks likely to elude Giallorossi, the former Boca Juniors youngster should be forcing his way into Bauza’s plans.
