Opportunities have been few and far between for Giovani Lo Celso since arriving at Paris Saint-Germain in January but the 21-year-old was given a cameo role in the French champions Ligue 1 match against Bastia and within a minute of his arrival the former Rosario Central playmaker reminded everyone just why PSG shelled out around €10 million.
Unai Emery’s side were already three-up at the Parc des Princes thanks to goals by Lucas, Marco Verratti and Edinson Cavani when Lo Celso replaced Verratti in the 81st minute.
A minute later and the talented youngster received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, nutmegged a defender and clipped the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.
Marquinhos may have denied the Argentinian a first goal for the club with a toe on the goalline but it was inspired by Lo Celso.
Cavani wrapped up the rout with a second in the 89th minute and for a while, at least until Monaco play later, PSG went level on points with the league leaders.
