Juventus completed part one of their treble-chasing season with Coppa Italia victory over Lazio last Wednesday and on Sunday afternoon a 3-0 win over Crotone sealed part two – the Serie A crown.

Defeat to Roma last weekend had delayed the party but Massimiliano Allegri’s side made certain against relegation threatened Crotone. Mario Mandzukic had opened the scoring with a close range finish when Paulo Dybala curled in a spectacular free kick for his tenth goal of the season.

Alex Sandro headed in a third off the underside of the crossbar as Juventus cruised to victory.

Only Real Madrid in the Champions League final on June 3rd stands between Juventus and a historic treble.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Alejandro Gómez celebrated his call-up to the Argentina squad with the only goal in Atalanta’s victory over Empoli. Papu has been inspirational in the club’s European qualification and his fiercely struck was enough for all three points, taking his season tally to fifteen goals and ten assists.

Giovanni Simeone tapped in his twelfth goal of the season as Genoa beat Torino 2-1.

And on Saturday, former Gimnasia and Racing forward Lucas Castro opened the scoring to give Chievo a surprise lead against Roma but couldn’t prevent the home side eventually slumping to a 5-3 defeat.
