CONMEBOL’s decision earlier in the day to award Lanús a 3-0 victory over Chapecoense due to an ineligible player netting the Brazilian side’s winner last week had already sent El Granate through to the Copa Libertadores last 16 but Lanús ensured top spot in Group Seven with victory away to Nacional.

Nacional went through in second place and Chapecoense’s dramatic late win over Zulia booked a spot in the Copa Sudamericana.
