Marcelo Bielsa didn’t earn the moniker Loco without reason and on Sunday the influential Argentine coach suffered his first defeat as Lille manager in a bizarre match against newly-promoted Strasbourg.
Forced into three first half changes Bielsa lost Thiago Mendes and Kevin Malcuit to injury before taking off Ballo Toure ,when the full back looked likely to be sent off in the 38th minute, things were made all the more difficult when goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off on the hour mark.
With no changes remaining, Bielsa stuck Nicolas De Preville in goal and shortly after changed his mind and opted to use Ibrahim Amadou but the damage was done and Strasbourg scored three times in the closing stages.
