Estudiantes have it all to do in the Copa Sudamericana after slipping to a 1-0 defeat against Nacional in the last 16 first leg in the Estadio Defensores del Chaco.

Gustavo Matosas’ side had chances to take at least an away goal from Paraguay but were punished on the hour mark when Luis Caballero poked in from close range after Estudiantes had failed to clear a cross into the penalty area.

Unable to find an equaliser, El Pincha suffered defeat and will now have to overturn the result when the sides meet again in La Plata on September 19th.
