River Plate player Jonathan Bottinelli was last night rescued by police after his car was stopped by a gang in El Palomar and they attempted to kidnap and rob the player. Fortunately a member of the public witnessed the attack and called the police and they were able to intercept the group 40 blocks away. They had taken some money and other items from Bottinelli and when he had refused to go with them it is reported that he had been assualted.
