A narrow win in La Bombonera sets up the second leg nicely

Boca Juniors won 1 – 0 in La Bombonera against Corinthians despite the absence of Juan Roman Riquelme. Nicolas Blandi’s goal was enough to give them the precious lead to travel to Brasil and defend in the second leg. After losing last year’s final to the same team Boca are half way to exacting revenge but they have a lot of work to do.
