Buffarini celebrates getting San Lorenzo back on level terms in Quilmes

Godoy Cruz got back to winning ways emphatically last night in Mendoza with a thumping 3 – 0 win against Colon. It was four games without a win for Martin Palermo’s side before last night and if they were to succeed in their aspirations of qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana then a win was vital. Goals from Obolo, Castellani and Sanchez earned them just that. Later, San Lorenzo travelled to Quilmes and despite falling behind managed to fight back to claim a valuable 2 – 1 win. The result leaves Quilmes nervously looking over their shoulder praying that Independiente’s revival quickly fades and San Lorenzo’s impressive away form (nine unbeaten) sees them up to 7th.
