Arsenal up to second with late win over San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo suffered a blow to their aspirations of winning the Torneo Final last night letting a one goal lead slip in Sarandi allowing Arsenal to snatch a last gasp win and leap frog them in the table. Ill discipline had reduced San Lorenzo to 9 men in the second half but in spite of the disadvantage, Ignacio Piatti fired them in front. However, poor defending in the final moments allowed goals from Julio Furch to reverse the score. Earlier, Argentinos Juniors slump continued as they lost to Atletico Rafaela. 5 without victory for Caruso Lombardi’s men has seen them drop down the table but the result is a big 3 points for Rafaela in the relegation fight. Quilmes earned a surprise 1-0 win in Cordoba against Belgrano ending a 5 game winless streak thanks to Alan Alegre’s first half strike. Saturday’s other game was the dullest of 0-0 draws as All Boys and Colon produced barely a chance between them. SEE ALL THE GOALS….
