Lucas Pratto couldn’t manage to get Velez a goal in Brazil

Velez Sarsfield travelled to Brazil to face Ponte Preta in the Quarter Finals of the Copa Sudamericana last night and despite being the better side, they were unable to score a crucial away goal and watched Mauro Zarate limp off with another muscle injury. Velez will be favourites in the return leg in Liniers on November 7th but could miss Zarate. In Brazil, they dominated for long periods and if, the usually impressive, Lucas Pratto had packed his shooting boots they would have returned with a win.
