Estudiantes join the title chasers at least mathmatically

Estudiantes defeated Colon in La Plata to move 5 points behind San Lorenzo and remain mathematically in with a chance in what is turning out to be the tightest of championships. Leandro Desábato’s absolute rocket of a header from Seba Veron’s corner in the first half was enough to give Estudiantes the points and heap further misery on Colon. Earlier, Belgrano defeated Tigre thanks to an early header from Cesar ‘Picante’ Pereyra and a late own goal off goalkeeper, Javier García. The latter officially an own goal but the product of a superb lob from Pereyra which came back off the crossbar and in off Garcia. Tigre still without an away win in the Torneo were not helped by the second half sending off of Norberto Paparatto. WATCH THE GOALS….
