Tigre took a small step towards staying the Primera while piling the pressure on All Boys with a deserved 2-0 win last night in Victoria. A win in such a huge relegation six-pointer is a relief to under pressure, Tigre boss, Fabián Alegre and leaves All Boys now in a very precarious position. Ariel Nahuelpán has not been the success that many had predicted and Tigre had hoped for this season, but it was his stunning long range strike that gave Tigre the lead. He was involved again for the second when his drilled cross was converted by Matías Pérez García with 15 minutes remaining. The result gives Tigre a little more breathing space while All Boys remain in the drop zone hoping those teams above them do not pick up wins this weekend. Later in Rosario, Central and Belgrano ended goalless but frankly with both teams safe and not likely to challenge for the championship it wasn’t likely to be a classic.
Tigre 2 – 0 All Boys
Rosario Central 0 – 0 Belgrano
