Valencia’s trip to Sevilla in Saturday’s La Liga clash was more newsworthy than usual in Argentina. Former Racing youngster, Rodrigo de Paul made his competitive debut for Valencia coming on in the 66th minute before being shown a straight red card in the 67th for throwing an arm in the face of Sevilla’s Alexis Vidal. Sevilla were leading through Vidal’s first half goal but another of Valencia’s recent Argentine purchases grabbed a late point. Lucas Orbán bundled in an 88th minute equaliser to complete an eventful debut in Spain. Los Che also fielded Argentines, Nicolás Otamendi and Pablo Piatti while Sevilla brought on Éver Banega and Mariano Barbosa.
