River Plate earned a second draw in a week, albeit from two tough away fixtures, to remain top of the table after a 1-1 draw against a spirited Lanús side, who themselves are now up to third. Lautaro Acosta slotted the home side ahead before a powerful, long range effort by top scorer, Teo Gutierrez levelled the match. River were not at their best but it is a good point against a side who are now 13 unbeaten inside La Fortaleza. With a week before the superclásico, Boca Juniors picked up a morale boosting win in La Bombonera against bottom side, Quilmes. The dangerous, Andréz Chávez dashed down the left and his cutback was converted by Federico Carrizo for the only goal of the game. Racing followed their victory against Boca in midweek with a thumping win over Belgrano in Córdoba. César Peyreyra fired Los Celestes in front early but a brace from the in-form, Gustavo Bou and another from Marcos Acuña gave Racing an impressive 4-1 victory. In the earlier game, Tigre left it late but a last minute golazo from Facundo Sánchez gave them a 2-1 win over Defensa y Justicia.
